As you can see with the rates above, our South Dakota cosmetology school has excellent licensing and placement rates. This can be attributed directly to the quality of education provided but receive at this institution.
We strive to provide the most in-depth and challenging cosmetology training found in South Dakota and throughout the region. This is due in part to the expectations we instill in the students to learn and to be responsible for their education. BHBC also offers support services to our students to help them with their attendance and academic progress through school.
There are many factors that contribute to a student's ability to focus on their attendance while in school. With the contracted time for the completion of our beauty school programs, most students see the importance to attend on the scheduled days.
Some students do find it difficult to balance the demands of life (children, jobs, budgets, etc.) with their desire to attend school. These types of things can lead a student to leave school before they are finished. It is exactly these issues, the expectations of the school and the demands of a student's life, that have lead to the completion rate listed above. That is why we always encourage prospective students to consider those types of situations while deciding when to start school.
Even though the school may have a seemingly low completion rate (NACCAS allows a rate as low as 50%), the facts of the high placement and licensing rates speaks highly of the quality of education Black Hills Beauty College provides those who do complete the program. Another great testament to the quality of education and the relationship BHBC has with its students is that a number of those students that withdraw but return to our school at a later date, and successfully complete the program.
